It has been suggested that a new model from Lexus may make it easier for the motorists to keep their eyes on the road. The manufacturer has claimed that the RX 450h- a full hybrid luxury SUV- has a cockpit designed to allow drivers easy access to vehicle data and controls.

One feature of the cabin is a Heads-Up Display (HUD), which presents key information on the bottom of the windscreen so motorists can see it without looking down.  This may appeal to the people keen to do everything they can do to avoid accidents and protect their cheap car insurance premiums.

Originally, the HUD technology was developed to be used in planes by fighter pilots. The display’s lighting intensity and the position can be changed to suit varying conditions by using controls situated on the steering wheel.

Available to order, the new Lexus IS 250c arrives in the showrooms this summer.
